Day's Journey

Verse 1
Some days I lie awake in my bed
With a tug of war playin in my head
Should I motivate myself now,
Take a healthy run or,
Pour me some orange juice or,
Have I just begun?
A day without reality ,
A day within my mind.
One where my solution is what I’m trin to find?

And sometimes the night seems brighter and fresher than the day
Sometimes I find it easier in the darkness to find my way
See I’m only lookin for some inner peace
Inner peace of my mind
But how do I find the journeys end?
When the start I cannot find

And on my own I’m something different
Than I am in company
I live a whole other existance down here in my private sanctuary
I have thoughts I can’t articulate
Groups of words I’d never say
Sometimes I need to wander in the darkness
To find my way
